Artist Statement
I work as a multidisciplinary artist, moving between painting, installation, sculpture, digital work, and mixed media. I don’t approach artworks as isolated objects, but as part of an ongoing process of thinking through material, structure, and ideas. I usually work on several pieces at the same time, allowing ideas to develop in parallel rather than following a single linear path.
Ideas play a central role in my practice. I believe ideas shape how we understand the world and how we move forward within it. At the same time, I intentionally allow space for naïveté and openness - working without claiming certainty or final answers. This balance between intention and not-knowing is essential to my work.
My process is material-driven and physical. I work with paint, plaster, found materials, and modular systems, often through layering, sanding, erosion, and repetition. These processes introduce time, labor, and chance into the work, allowing control and accident to exist side by side.
Many of my works deal with structure and fragmentation, grids, pixels, and repeated units that come together to form larger systems. Rather than resolving contradictions, the works invite sustained viewing and reflection, leaving space for complexity, ambiguity, and personal interpretation.
